The photos above, taken June 25th. First is on Chrisobol Street showing a illegal house built 10 years ago. Look at the low security fence. The second photo is on Belize Street. The good news is that some of the trees on this perimeter fence were cut, but the bad news it exposes the low fence and a house on the other side illegally built against Las Terrazas' fence. There's suppose to a two meter allowance on the other side of the fence for constructing shacks. The current Board Of Directors have inherited this problem and other problems of other such illegal structures built when Alsons managed Las Terrazas. Now, the current Board Of Directors know the problems which they must resolve instead of ignoring them. More illegal construction will happen without proper monitoring and enforcement of them . The Board also has the obligation increase the size of all the perimeter fences around the entire subdivision for our safety which continues to be at risk as well as our home investments here where we are stuck with views of the more than a dozen eye-sore shacks. The third picture above was taken on Cordova Street. Notice the illegal house built on the other side of the fence. Rumors are Alsons is going to increase size of the perimeter fence . But this remains just a rumor since we continue to have no communication from the Board Of Directors to us members. What will happen within the next month? Probably like the first six months of this year, absolutely nothing except spending our money recklessly without planning.
We notified our Board Of Directors 3 months ago of new security threats to our livelihood here and they stil have ignored our demands to protect our valued subdivision. The illegal shacks in the pictures below are near Palm Garden Park on Cordova Street . Structures on the other side of our perimeter fence must be built at least two meters from our fence. If nothing is done to correct this problem, there will be further degrading of Las Terrazas and additional risks for our safety.
The other security and maintenance issues we have told you about are still ignored and unresolved. Namely, no use of the security barrier for exiting the Ma-a Exit, illegal signs advertising lots for sale and illegal construction advertising as well a illegal basketball court in the middle of one of our streets. In addition to the lack of proper supervision of the maintenance crew, our money is being wasted. Our streets and common areas that are supposed to be cleaned are not.
What will happen this year to improve this once, proud supervision? Or are we in for another year of wasting our money and further deterioration of our precious investments which are our houses.
Pictured here are three shacks that are fronting our fence illegally without the legal. city law limiting such structures to be at least 2 meters from our fence. Two letters have been sent to the Board Of Directors over the past three months to resolve this problem. They still have nothing about this serious problem.
